JBM COFFEE FACTS
JBM BEST BREW METHODS
Use water between 196°–198°F (91°–92°C) for the best flavor—too hot burns the beans, too cool weakens extraction. If you don’t have a thermometer, boil the water and let it sit for 1–2 minutes before brewing.
Grind beans just before brewing to preserve freshness and flavor, using a coarse grind for French press and a fine grind for espresso.
FOR GREAT COFFEE
Use a drip pot, French Press, or percolator. Use 2 level tablespoons of ground coffee per 8 oz serving. Add more or less coffee to suit your individual taste.
FOR SUPERB COFFEE
Use a gooseneck kettle for an even pour when making pour-over coffee. Pour slowly for a stronger flavor or faster for a lighter cup, and enjoy immediately.
Store coffee in an airtight container, preferably frozen, to preserve freshness. Always look for the 100% Jamaica Blue Mountain designation, as High Mountain coffee is not the same as Blue Mountain coffee.

A LITTLE HISTORY
Many coffee connoisseurs consider Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee among the world’s finest, known for its smooth balance of aroma, body, and acidity, with a mellow sweet aftertaste. Grown from the delicate Arabica Typica variety in Jamaica’s cool, misty Blue Mountains, it also contains less caffeine than most other arabica coffees. Coffee was introduced to Jamaica in 1728 by Governor Sir Nicholas Lawes from Hispaniola (now Haiti). The industry quickly expanded, reaching hundreds of plantations by the 1800s, but later declined after the abolition of slavery due to labor shortages. Today, Jamaica’s coffee industry is sustained mainly by small farmers.
Jamaica Blue Mountain® coffee is world-renowned for its smooth balance, rich aroma, and notes of herbs, spice, and chocolate. Grown high in Jamaica’s misty Blue Mountains, the region’s cool climate, volcanic soil, and slow cherry maturation create its unique flavor.
Made exclusively from premium Arabica beans, the coffee is carefully handpicked, sun-dried, and cured for at least eight weeks to enhance its mellow character. Jamaica Blue Mountain® green coffee beans are uniquely packaged and shipped in wooden barrels to preserve their quality.
