What Is Peaberry Coffee?

Peaberry is one of coffee's rare natural treasures.

Normally, each coffee cherry develops two beans. Occasionally, however, a cherry produces just one perfectly rounded bean. This is known as a Peaberry.

Because the single bean receives all of the nutrients from the fruit, many coffee lovers believe Peaberry offers a more concentrated flavor and enhanced sweetness.

Only a small percentage of each harvest becomes Peaberry, making it one of the rarest Jamaica Blue Mountain coffees available.
